The Daegwallyeong Music Festival concluded its four-part special concerts with 'Harmonize' on the evening of the 11th at Donghae Culture & Arts Center. The festival showcased diverse genres across Gangwon Province, including contemporary music, jazz and dance. Earlier program highlights included 'Cello Gayageum' (a cross-genre performance combining the cello and the traditional Korean string instrument gayageum) and modern pieces at KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon, a jazz-influenced piano ensemble by the Frank Dufree Trio in Hoengseong, and BaraLoft’s boundary-blurring dance and street dance show in Samcheok. Harmonize, known for distinctive vocal performances, presented an accessible choral program featuring film music, winter-themed pop songs and Christmas carols with colorful arrangements and dramatic staging. Their set opened with a Queen medley and included selections such as 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Let It Go' from Frozen, Park Hyo-shin’s 'Snow Flower,' 'Seasons of Love' from Rent, holiday hits like 'Last Christmas' and 'All I Want for Christmas Is You,' and a medley from The Lion King, offering both festive warmth and emotional resonance.
