Blue Ribbon Seoul 2026: Six New 3-Ribbon Restaurants Crowned

South Korea’s premier restaurant guide, Blue Ribbon Survey, released Seoul’s Taste 2026 and added six new ‘3-ribbon’ (top-tier) restaurants to its list. The newcomers include GAGEN (modern kaiseki), MOSU Seoul by returning chef An Seong-jae, SOSUHEON (sushi) by Park Kyung-jae, Soul Dining (modern Korean) by chefs Yoon Dae-hyun and Kim Hee-eun, high-end sushi HANE by chef Choi Ju-yong, and Hobin by Chinese cuisine master Chef Hu Deok-juk (known from the show Black & White Chef 2). Over 70,000 readers participated in the survey, which now lists 43 three-ribbon restaurants in Seoul — two more than 2025 — and a total of 1,560 establishments in the 2026 edition. The guide also highlighted 10 noteworthy new openings from the past year, including contemporary Korean, bakery, kaiseki, steak, sushi, and dessert spots. The number of two-ribbon and one-ribbon restaurants shifted slightly: three-ribbon restaurants increased by two, two-ribbon restaurants rose by 20 to 301, while one-ribbon restaurants decreased by 33 to 663.
