The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (Arko) hosted a 2025 international exchange showcase, "Connecting the World through Art," in Seoul on Dec. 4 to share experiences and results from its international exchange grants. Artists, independent curators, mediators, and institutional representatives discussed residency experiences and post-residency collaborations in two panels: "Overseas Residency Dialogue" and "Scenes and Outcomes of International Art Cooperation." Presenters—including poets, playwrights, visual artists, choreographers, and producers—outlined working conditions in partner cities, collaborative production, and practical models for strengthening mediators’ roles. The forum emphasized a process-centered exchange system, the need for joint cross-border creation and production environments, and closer cooperation with international platforms. Arko said it will pursue both qualitative network expansion and field-oriented support methods. Arko Chair Jeong Byung-guk described the event as a starting point for defining roles of artists, planners, and support agencies in a rapidly changing global arts ecosystem and pledged continued development of international support programs.
