KGC Launches ‘Dalimjae: 1899’ — 24-Hour Custom Ginseng Decoction Service

Korean red ginseng maker KGC (brand: CheongKwanJang) has introduced ‘Dalimjae: 1899,’ a premium service that personally decocts customers’ root ginseng (bburisam) for 24 hours and performs 24-hour quality checks. Customers buy root ginseng (types include jisam and yangsam) and the paid decoction service through KGC’s online mall ‘JeongMall.’ The service runs up to five times a day on a first-come, first-served basis. From unboxing to decoction and packaging, customers receive video updates of key steps so they can trust the process and the final ginseng extract. The Dalimjae facility is located within KGC’s cleanroom at its Wonju factory and features advanced equipment and strict testing. Factory tour applicants may visit the Dalimjae in person. KGC says the service reflects its 126 years of history and aims to meet increasingly specialized customer needs.
