LotteGRS opened the first Malaysian Lotteria on Dec. 5 at The Curve Mall in Petaling Jaya, near Kuala Lumpur. The 128-seat outlet offers nine burgers (including LIA Bulgogi and LIA Shrimp), three chicken items and five desserts — the same K-food menu used in Korea — aiming to promote K-burger, K-chicken and K-dessert concepts. The location was chosen for its proximity to Mont Kiara (a large Korean neighborhood) and a customer base interested in K-culture and K-food, useful for brand building, new menu testing and collecting feedback. To address local Muslim dietary practices, LotteGRS secured halal-certified ingredient suppliers to build trust with Malaysian consumers. Company leaders and partners from Malaysia’s Serai Group attended the grand opening. LotteGRS plans further Southeast Asia expansion — following Vietnam and upcoming Singapore opening in 2026 — and sees the Malaysia store as a model for sustainable growth in the region.
