Global footwear maker Changshin held a shoe delivery ceremony at Sajik Baseball Stadium on Dec. 8 with the Lotte Giants and the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, giving 100 pairs of performance running shoes to promising student athletes from four schools. The donation stems from Changshin’s ‘1 stolen base = 1 pair’ charity pledge made with the Lotte Giants to mark 1 billion cumulative shoes produced. Recipients include athletes in track (Busan Physical Education High School, Busan National University Affiliated High School), baseball (Suyeong Elementary School), and volleyball (Gyeongnam Girls’ Middle School), among them recent national high jump champion Kim Jun-gi. Lotte Giants player Jeon Jun-woo attended the event, and Changshin CEO Nam Chung-il personally handed shoes to each student, saying he hopes the support helps them reach the world stage. Changshin plans continued community support for youth sports development.
