Dongducheon Hosts 4th DanceSport & K-Dance Festival with Strong Community Turnout

Dongducheon City held the 4th Dongducheon Mayor’s DanceSport & K-Dance Festival at Bandabi Gymnasium on the 7th, aiming to broaden dance sport participation, promote community fitness, and discover youth talent. The festival featured a wide range of genres and divisions—including pro-modern, pro-Latin, amateur, pro-am, mania, general, student, and formation (team) events—and used heats, repechage (second-chance rounds), semifinals and finals to ensure fair competition. Morning winners included Kim Doyeon (Level A studio cover), Kim Nayoung (Level B studio cover), Seong Yesol (Level A studio street), and team Lusir (Level B studio cover). Afternoon champions included Bulhyeondon DanceSport (adult formation mixed team), Ansan Tiare Hula (senior), Gimpo Love Latin (general division), Osan Bitnaljini (line dance), and top social dance and standard event winners Kim Hoyoung and Hanok. Mayor Park Hyung-deok and DanceSport Federation president Hong Sehee praised the event’s role in enriching local culture and fostering healthy dance communities.
