Yonsei Arts Institute held the 2nd Yonsei Acting Competition on November 22, 2025, at the RIS Auditorium on Yonsei University’s Mirae Campus, drawing strong interest from aspiring actors nationwide. Of 131 applicants, 30 finalists performed 5-minute solo monologues judged by institute faculty and theatre/film professionals on acting skill, creativity, and expression. Grand prize went to Kim Min-kyu (Yonsei University); gold winners were Lee Min-joo (freelance) and Jeong Ok-hap (Sejong Arts High School); silver winners included Jo Min-seo (Korea National University of Arts), Kim Moon-hee (Hanyang University graduate school), and Joo Ye-eun (Samjeong High School). A total of 11 awardees received trophies, certificates, and cash prizes. Notably, all finalists were granted admission advantages when applying to Yonsei Arts Institute, a measure designed to reduce entrance exam pressure and identify talent early. The institute said the event reaffirmed participants’ passion and potential and pledged to expand practical training and talent-development programs. The competition promoted Yonsei’s practice-focused education philosophy and gave prospective artists a chance to experience its creative environment firsthand.
