Domino’s Korea announced that Kwon Chae-rin, assistant manager at its Ulsan Samsan branch, won the national Fastest Pizza Maker (FPM) championship with a time of 1 minute 34 seconds. FPM measures how quickly a competitor can stretch three pizza doughs and apply perfect toppings (e.g., pepperoni, mushroom, cheese). The FPM tradition began at Domino’s in the U.S. in 1982 to showcase the brand’s identity as the fastest and most accurate pizza maker and to boost employee morale. This year’s finals followed regional qualifiers in Seoul and Busan and were held at the company’s model store. Kwon earns prize money and a spot in the Asia-Pacific FPM next January; top finishers may also compete at the World’s Fastest Pizza Maker (WFPM) in Las Vegas the following May, where the winner receives cash, prizes, and the title of Domino’s top “maker.” Domino’s said the contest aims to push makers to exceed their limits and set new goals.
