NAEOE39, a premium distilled soju from Naeoe Distillery, won the soju category at the 2025 K-SUUL AWARD held Dec 2 at Sejong Convention Center. The award follows strong showings at the 2025 Korea Liquor Awards and the IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition), marking growing global recognition for Korean distilled spirits. NAEOE39 is made by fermenting rice using traditional samyangju (traditional Korean fermentation) methods and then distilling the mash in a single-pot, whiskey-style still to preserve rice aroma and smoothness. The brand emphasizes blending tradition and modern design—its distinctive dark bottle echoes buncheong (Korean blue-gray pottery)—and has pursued global branding, including sponsoring an afterparty for Travis Scott’s Korea concert. Naeoe Distillery says it aims to define a new K-Spirit category that modernizes Korean brewing culture and communicates traditional values to the world.
