Seoul Enters Global Top 10 Travel Destinations as K-Beauty and K-Culture Drive Growth

EuroMonitor’s Top 100 City Destinations Index 2025 shows Seoul rising from 12th to 10th place, credited to the global popularity of K-beauty and K-culture. The index ranks cities using six pillars: economy & business, tourism performance, policy & appeal, infrastructure, hygiene & safety, and sustainability. Seoul ranked particularly high in tourism infrastructure (7th), and also placed well in hygiene & safety (20th), economy & business (21st), and policy & appeal (24th). The 2025 top 10 (alphabetical) includes Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, New York, Paris, Rome, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo. EuroMonitor notes Asia-Pacific became the world’s second-largest region for international visitors in 2025, with arrivals up 10% to 350 million.
