Jeju Tangerine 'Citrus Day' Celebrates 10 Years with Promo Event at Seoul's Bongeunsa Temple

Jeju Province marked the 10th anniversary of Citrus Day on Dec. 6 with a promotional event at Bongeunsa Temple in Seoul to showcase the taste and quality of Jeju tangerines (gamgyul). Officials handed out 300 packs of tangerines and donated 1,201 boxes to the temple. The two-day event features tastings, sales, a Jeju specialty pop-up, SNS events, variety exhibits, and cultural performances by local artists. Jeju vows to strengthen quality control, logistics and fresh-delivery systems so consumers nationwide can receive high-quality tangerines quickly. The province highlighted this year’s harvest as sweeter with less acidity, aiming to expand consumer access and support farmers.
