Brand USA (the U.S. tourism agency) welcomed United Airlines’ announcement that it will launch a daily nonstop Incheon–Newark service on September 5, 2026, operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The new route expands air connectivity between Korea and the U.S., improving access to U.S. East Coast hubs via Newark Liberty International Airport and easing connections to cities like Boston, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. The service will offer multiple cabin classes, including United Polaris (business), United Premium Plus, and United Economy. Brand USA leaders said the timing—coinciding with the U.S. 250th anniversary and Route 66 centennial—offers Korean travelers fresh opportunities to explore American history and regional culture. United Korea head Park Beom-jun noted the route underscores United’s long-haul growth strategy and strengthens Korea–U.S. travel links amid rising demand: in 2024 about 1.7 million Koreans visited the U.S., a 6% increase year-on-year.
