Seoul embraces an analog, cinematic vibe this winter with four curated spots spotlighted by the Seoul Tourism Organization. Seoul Art Cinema (a historic cinephile venue) screens restored classics, retrospectives and director-focused programs, preserving film culture beyond digital trends. Raikka (Laika) Cinema is a small, single-screen theater showcasing indie, experimental and world cinema with immersive sound and a rooftop garden. My Favorite is an LP-focused music edit shop where vinyl, film OSTs and collectible goods offer a tactile listening experience and handwritten movie notes. Kofkino Cinephile is a tiny independent bookstore specializing in film texts, memorabilia and community events like reading and film-writing clubs. Together these spaces revive slow, analog appreciation—film screenings, vinyl warmth, and quiet reading—providing comforting, curated experiences for locals and visitors.
