Gangwon Holds Cable Car Policy Workshop to Boost Tourism

Gangwon Province held a '2025 Gangwon Cable Car Policy Sharing Workshop' in Wonju to discuss strategies for linking cable car operations with local tourism, safety management, and permitting procedures. Local officials, operators, and experts reviewed domestic and international cable car tourism models, accident and disruption statistics, prevention measures, and construction and approval (in허가) considerations. The province shared plans to strengthen safety oversight and emphasized cooperation among operators, specialists, and agencies to develop safe, convenient tourism infrastructure.
