Korean burger-and-chicken chain Mom's Touch opened its first franchise in Japan, the Mom's Touch BLiX Chigasaki store, near JR Chigasaki Station and popular Sazan Beach. Despite having about 70 seats—roughly one-third the size of its large Shibuya flagship—the new local-market store recorded per-seat opening-day sales 63% higher than Shibuya’s initial performance (¥16,300 vs ¥9,970). The brand credits two years of growing recognition in Japan and a tailored local pricing strategy (about 7% lower than core Tokyo stores) that improved cost-performance and encouraged repeat visits from nearby residents. The mid-sized outlet was designed as a warm, family-friendly local burger shop with flexible seating, attracting a broad age mix compared with youth-heavy urban locations. Mom's Touch says the Chigasaki franchise will serve as a showcase for future franchisees and help the brand become a daily dining option in Japanese communities.
