Sheet Music of 'Welcome Song for the Provisional Government' Released; AI-Restored Audio Shared

The National Library of Korea opened a special exhibition, “Sound of Liberation, Captured by AI,” running through the 31st on the library’s digital library basement floor. For the first time it publicly displayed the sheet music of the 'Welcome Song for the Provisional Government' (임시정부환영가) that was sung at the 1945 welcoming ceremony, and played an audio reconstruction restored using AI. The exhibition has two themes—“Hear the emotion of that day” and “The library’s first steps”—bringing immediate post-liberation records to life with AI. Visitors can join a consonant-initial quiz (초성 퀴즈) event from the 8th to 26th: after viewing, solve three simple puzzles; winners picked by lottery will receive one of 100 coffee coupons worth about 5,000 won.
