A special photo exhibition, 'Still in Motion,' runs Nov 11–18 at Seoul Arts Center (Hangaram Art Museum) presenting photographic reinterpretations of seven National Ballet of Korea repertoires, including The Little Mermaid, The Nutcracker, Camellia Lady, Anna Karenina, Giselle, Hoi Rang, and Heo Nanseolheon–Suwol Gyeonghwa. Six photographers offer personal visions that capture ballet’s motion and breath within still images, born from reflections on performances paused during the pandemic and honoring dancers’ unseen effort. The exhibition is free and supported by the National Ballet’s patron association; artistic approaches range from flowing lines and blurred colors to poetic lighting that blurs reality and fantasy.
