Photographer Won Jeong-sang's fourth solo exhibition 'Memory of Strata' runs until the 10th at KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon. The show features 25 images of rock landscapes from mountains, coasts, cliffs and former coal mining areas. Won reads cracks and erosion in strata and rocks as a 'language of time,' seeing them as traces of life and inner purification. The stones—carrying Earth's memory—display layers of sediment and primal breath; worn and smoothed by weathering yet holding an unshaken essence. Light and shadow on their silent surfaces reveal time's texture, which the artist visualizes as an invisible 'blood flow' within the stone. The work frames nature’s endurance and cycles as a profound metaphor for human existence. (KT&G Sangsangmadang: a Korean cultural complex for art exhibitions)
