KRA’s Audit Office Wins First-Ever ‘Transparent Society Award’

The Korea Racing Authority (KRA) announced its Audit Office was selected for the 25th Transparent Society Award by the Korea chapter of Transparency International ahead of UN Anti-Corruption Day. The award recognizes individuals and organizations promoting transparency and anti-corruption based on criteria such as validity of actions, public support, persistence, impact, and overcoming challenges. The Audit Office was lauded for anti-corruption training for staff, the “We only take hearts” campaign aimed at racing customers (경마 고객), and achieving high ratings in national integrity evaluations by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in 2023 and 2024. KRA’s senior audit official said the award, the institution’s first since its founding, reflects sustained efforts to build a fair and transparent organization and gain public trust.
