Freshwater: Stable weather ahead of winter led to active carp (붕어) bites across the Cheongdo area. Anglers at Samsanji, Sinchonji and Punggak canal reported 5–10 carp each, 20–30 cm. Shinji produced four larger carp (월척, big-sized fish) of 32–36 cm. Cheongdocheon saw about ten big carp of 34–38 cm and several medium-sized ones. Changnyeong, Chogok, Gogok and Hwanggok canals all yielded multiple carp in the 18–35 cm range. Saltwater: Sea conditions improved midweek, boosting trips and catches. Yeongdeok shore and breakwaters produced many small saury (학꽁치). Uljin had steady black porgy (벵에돔) and good-sized mackerel. Offshore from Sokcho, anglers using taibara rigs landed multiple large cod (70 cm–1 m). Pohang boat trips scored near-meter yellowtail (방어) and mid-to-large-sized Spanish mackerel and tuna. Inshore boats reported many decent-sized webfoot octopus (주꾸미) and octopus (문어) — daytime trips brought many smaller ones, nights produced larger specimens. 부산 (Busan) crews shifted from cutlassfish to octopus and saw consistently strong multi-catch results, making Busan a rising octopus fishing hub. Geoje jigging yielded dozens per rod of 70 cm–1 m yellowtail, amberjack and large Spanish mackerel. Tongyeong deep-sea cutlassfish catches improved late season to 40–50 per person. Famous black porgy spots like Yongchodo and Bijindo produced 45–53 cm trophy fish. Around Yeosu, anchored cutlassfish boats using natural bait caught many 3.5–5 taeniids, though overall results varied. Coastal areas from Goheung to Wando showed plentiful webfoot octopus and 1 m-class yellowtail and large Spanish mackerel on jigs.
