Kidari Gallery (Daegu) opens its annual small-works Christmas show, “RED BOX 2025,” from Dec. 6–27. The gallery invites four artists — Kim Min-song, Yang Jong-yong, Sung Tae-jin, and Ahn Yoon-mo — to display pieces sized under 10호 (a Korean canvas size standard). The exhibition aims to offer small paintings as meaningful year-end gifts. Kim Min-song presents dreamlike nightscapes inspired by everyday objects and travel memories. Sung Tae-jin, trained in printmaking, reinterprets his childhood hero character Taekwon V (a classic Korean robot/cartoon figure) to explore contemporary lives and empathy. Ahn Yoon-mo uses an owl motif to depict warm everyday moments and questions true happiness. Yang Jong-yong combines man-made objects with moss to express a desire for harmonious, natural living, reflecting moss’s embracing qualities. The gallery says the show offers a chance to share feelings through small artworks, like Santa’s gift sack. Contact: 070-7566-5995.
