Shinsegae Department Store’s flagship in Seoul has completed a large-scale renovation, transforming into what the retailer calls a ‘luxury mansion.’ The renewed space brings together high-end global brands—Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany, Rolex—and expanded boutiques and experiences that emphasize each brand’s heritage and identity. Highlight features include “Louis Vuitton The Place Seoul Shinsegae The Reserve” (a multi-zone cultural space with fashion, watches & jewelry, beauty, café, chocolate shop, and a planned restaurant), Korea’s largest Hermès store, a new Cartier boutique, and ongoing additions like Bvlgari and a Dior remodel slated for early 2026. The renovated “The Estate” (formerly the new wing) and “The Heritage” Chanel store blend historic architecture and craftsmanship, while new cultural offerings—House of Shinsegae The Heritage (exhibitions/workshops on Korean aesthetics), Dessert Salon (Korean dessert concept), and The Heritage Museum—aim to showcase Korean lifestyle and retail history. Upgraded VIP lounges, personal shopper rooms (PSR), and a Heritage Valet Lounge bolster premium services. Shinsegae says the flagship will serve not just as retail space but as a cultural and tourist destination in Seoul. (PSR = personal shopper room)
