WADA Congress Opens in Busan with North Korea Celebration Performance

The 2025 World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) congress opened on Dec. 2 at BEXCO in Haeundae, Busan, featuring a congratulatory performance by North Korean artists (대북 공연). The meeting runs through Dec. 5 with about 2,000 participants from 191 countries, including government delegates, International Olympic Committee (IOC) members, international sports federations, national anti-doping organizations, and testing laboratories. Delegates will discuss revisions to the WADA code and international standards to shape the future of sports fairness. (BEXCO is a major exhibition center in Busan.)
