Musinsa Discloses Padding Fill Mislabeling, Offers Refunds

Musinsa, a major Korean online fashion retailer, found that a North Face men's 1996 Retro Nuptse jacket sold on its platform had incorrect fill information. The product page originally listed the fill as 80% down (goose) and 20% feathers, but the jacket actually used recycled down material. The error occurred when an external sales agent failed to update season product information. Musinsa publicly disclosed the mistake and will offer prompt refunds to protect customers, regardless of legal responsibility. The company also said it will provide more detailed material ratios on its own brand (Musinsa Standard) product pages — for example breaking down “other fibers 55%” into polyester 45%, acrylic 5%, and other fibers 5%. Musinsa emphasized it will take proactive measures to maintain customer trust.
