CJ CheilJedang Partners with Thailand’s Top Retailer to Expand K-Food in 2,700+ Stores

South Korea’s CJ CheilJedang signed an MOU with CP Axtra, the largest retail arm of Thailand’s CP Group, to broaden distribution of K-food across more than 2,700 Makro and Lotus's stores. The partnership will place flagship products like Bibigo fried noodles and kimchi, plus dumplings, K-street food and K-sauces, into mainstream retail channels and grow B2B and bulk offerings for restaurants and cafes. Joint marketing and promotions are planned, and both companies are considering extending cooperation into neighboring Southeast Asian markets such as Malaysia and the Philippines. CJ said the tie-up builds a major foothold in Thailand as its overseas food sales have grown 77% over five years.
