Christmas Village Busan opened on Nov. 27 at the outdoor plaza of the Busan Cinema Center (영화의전당) and attracted over 73,000 visitors within four days. The month-long winter food and market festival runs through Dec. 25 and features about 70 food & beverage brands—including Michelin-selected and local vendors—and around 40 lifestyle brands. Organizers use a “weekly content renewal” strategy, changing missions, hands-on experiences and special stage programs each week to encourage repeat visits. A global cuisine zone showcases authentic international winter dishes, while immersive activities like a “fairy identity check” at an entrance gate, gift-making at a Santa workshop, and self gift-wrapping in the “Santa’s treasure chest” create family-friendly engagement. The outdoor market includes handmade, living, and fashion brands, with strong participation from Busan local makers drawing young crowds. Organizers say they will continue to expand programming and ensure safe operations for visitors.
