Parata Air, a new South Korean low-cost carrier launched after Winix acquired Fly Gangwon, began international service on Nov. 17 with an inaugural Incheon–Narita flight. The airline uses A330 and A320 aircraft and emphasizes roomy economy seats (33-inch pitch) comparable to full-service carriers. Parata offers free water and a signature drink called “Peach on Board,” plus unique paid menu items like hot in-flight ramen (served in a reusable bowl; Parata says it’s the only domestic carrier offering ramen in economy), cold noodles and chicken-and-beer sets. Cabin crew are experienced hires from major airlines and other professional backgrounds. The carrier aims to expand routes, maintain punctuality, and build trust through safety and distinctive services; limited quantities of specialty meals mean pre-ordering is recommended.
