Korean food, hotel and retail brands have kicked off aggressive pre-order campaigns for the holiday season. Premium dessert brand Knotted launched six holiday cakes featuring its signature ‘Sugar Bear’ character and seasonal motifs (e.g., Christmas tree, snowman), plus two types of traditional stollen. Early-bird reservations run in phases with discounts and pickup via Kakao’s reservation system. Hotels are offering festive home-party packages: Fairmont Ambassador Seoul sells ‘Turkey To Go’ and ‘Prime Rib To Go’ full-course sets for pickup, while Walkerhill Hotel’s long-running ‘Lovely Strawberry’ promotion (strawberry desserts, drinks and savory items) runs Dec–Apr and is available by reservation. Cities are also staging immersive Christmas photo spots to attract visitors — Simmons Terrace in Icheon features large tree and character installations, Hyundai Department Store’s “Sounds Forest” sold out rapidly for its character-driven Christmas workshop, and Shinsegae Myeong-dong debuted a giant anamorphic media façade show. Overall, brands are combining limited-edition products, chef-curated takeaways and experiential installations to capture consumers’ holiday spending and social-media attention.
