Korean eyewear brand Blue Elephant will open a roughly 1,000-pyeong (about 3,300 m²) mega store called 'Blue Elephant Space Seongsu' in Seongsu-dong, Seoul on November 29. The four-story flagship stretches from ground level to a rooftop and expands the brand's concept “the value of a new view” into an experiential retail space. The opening theme, ‘Fantasy Square,’ uses open layouts and large spaces to present eyewear within broader lifestyle contexts. A 12-meter-diameter spherical media art installation called the Sphere will show diverse digital artworks as a signature centerpiece. The store will carry around 700 eyewear styles, including a Space Seongsu-exclusive ‘SEOUL EDITION’ line and a new sports line called ‘ACTIVE.’ Facilities include a Blue Elephant café and rooftop area to encourage longer visits. The brand says the single-category mega store is a meaningful challenge to translate its philosophy into space, and designed an accessible, open layout with glass facades and media art to invite the public in. Blue Elephant plans further expansion to Busan, Jeju, and international cities like Los Angeles as part of its global growth strategy.
