Cheongwon Saengmyeong Nonghyup's 'germinated brown rice nurungji chips' won the Grand Prize (Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs award) at the 2025 K-Rice Festa held at KINTEX in Ilsan. Out of 787 rice-processed products nationwide, 28 winners were chosen across seven categories after consumer and expert evaluations. The chips are made from 100% domestically grown germinated brown rice, produced with an oil-free hot-air process that delivers a light, savory rice flavor. No additives except sun-dried salt were used, earning the product recognition as a healthy rice snack. (nurungji: traditional scorched rice that forms on the bottom of a pot)
