Ulsan held its 2025 Tourism Day ceremony at Boram Convention Nauri Hall with about 200 attendees including Mayor Kim Du-gyeom and tourism officials. The event opened with a pan flute performance and included awards, a commemorative program, and networking activities. Sixteen people received honors—including one Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism citation—for efforts in local tourism content development and attracting visitors. Mayor Kim said Ulsan’s tourism sector is in a period of recovery and challenge and pledged to enhance Ulsan’s appeal and develop longer-stay tourism infrastructure. The report featured images of local attractions such as the Bangudae Petroglyphs (ancient rock carvings, a designated National Treasure), Ganjeolgot (a headland famous as one of the first places on the Korean Peninsula to see the sunrise), and the autumn silver grass fields of Sinbulsan mountain.
