Contemporary commercial artist Jeong Man-joong will hold a solo exhibition titled 'Meditative Art for Modern Life' at Gallery RA in Seongsu-dong starting December 1. The show focuses on a meditative sensibility that invites busy visitors to pause and look inward. Jeong — the third son of artist Jeong Ung-pyo and a graduate of Hongik University’s College of Fine Arts — has worked widely in commercial art, including aging techniques on amusement park structures and trick-art projects in the Philippines, China, Australia and Cambodia. Represented by Kwon Young-chan.com, he combines exhibition and commercial work. The new pieces reframe everyday materials with a philosophical eye, presenting artworks not just for viewing but as 'spaces for meditation' where visitors can regroup and restore focus. Jeong said he hopes his paintings offer a brief resting place for people passing through daily life rather than delivering a grand message.
