High1 Ski Resort, located on the Baekdudaegan mountain range in Jeongseon, opened on November 28 — the earliest opening among South Korean ski resorts this season. The resort, with 21 km of slopes for beginners to advanced skiers, initially opened the Athena 3-1 beginner slope and a sledding area (no lift needed). Over the season High1 will open a total of 15 slopes and a “Snow World,” a family-friendly winter experience area that includes rafting sleds, larger rafting boats, a nostalgic ice sled area with transparent domes, and outdoor windbreaks for comfort and safety. Opening promotions run Nov. 28–30 with discounted lift passes and equipment rental; further discounts follow in early December and special 12/ month promotions for college entrance exam candidates (must show exam ticket and ID). Resort officials emphasized snow quality, fun, and safety, and staff held a safety pledge event ahead of opening to pursue “zero major accidents.”
