New Original Musical 'Moon Goddess Luna of Wolchulsan' Opens December 13

The Jeollanam-do Yeongam Cultural Tourism Foundation will stage a new original musical, 'Moon Goddess Luna of Wolchulsan,' on December 13 at the Yeongam County Youth Center's main theater. Part of the 2025 Regional Cultural Arts Creation Support program, the show blends the local atmosphere of Wolchulsan (Wolchulsan Mountain) with contemporary sensibilities. Holton Music, known for producing music for the TV drama 'Mr. Sunshine,' composed and wrote the songs to raise the production’s quality. The project spotlights young local talent—lead artist Lee Ki-han—working with professional staff to realize an initiative that centers youth and local culture. A youth ensemble called the 'Kids Electric Orchestra' will perform alongside the cast, offering arts education and engagement for the region’s next generation. The story is a light romantic comedy about restaurant staff at 'Wolhajeong' (a restaurant under Wolchulsan) who fall for a mysterious woman, Luna, who visits nightly. Admission is free and suitable for all ages.
