The 2025 Korea MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) Awards and conference were held on the 25th at OSCO in Cheongju, recognizing institutions, companies and individuals who advanced the MICE sector this year. Four award categories—International Conferences, Corporate Meetings & Incentives, International Conference Districts, and Individual Contribution—were presented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. Winners included: the Korea Defense MICE Institute (international conference category) for a June event at Daejeon Convention Center that drew 11,800 attendees from 25 countries; MEPs International Korea (corporate meetings & incentives) for bringing WSB incentive groups that generated strong domestic spending; Gyeongju City (international conference district) for elevating its global profile after hosting the APEC summit and developing a sustainable smart complex; and Kwon Byung-eun of Gimpo Cultural Foundation (individual contribution) for attracting 30 MICE events using the Aegibong Peace & Ecology Park. Additional awards by the Korea Tourism Organization and PCO association honored regional CVBs (Gyeonggi Tourism Organization), COEX for alliance and smart operations, young MICE leader Seo Jin-hee (Daejeon) for science-focused conferences and participant wellness programs, and P&M as an outstanding PCO for strengthening the KSMO conference’s global reach. Organizers noted the awards reflect public–private cooperation that helped the industry innovate and recover this year.
