Ulsan held its 2025 "Tourism Day" ceremony at Boram Convention Nauri Hall to celebrate and encourage local tourism workers and chart a new course for the sector. About 200 attendees, including Mayor Kim Du-gyeom and tourism association leaders, joined a program featuring a pan flute (팬플룻) performance, the main ceremony, awards for tourism merit, and networking activities. Sixteen people received awards for strengthening Ulsan’s tourism competitiveness and developing local tourism content — including a Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism citation and honors from the Ulsan mayor, city council chair, Korea Tourism Organization, and tourism associations. Mayor Kim said the event should energize tourism professionals and pledged continued efforts to boost Ulsan’s brand and expand stay-based (체류형) tourism infrastructure.
