Veteran actor Lee Soon-jae, often called Korea’s “national TV dad,” was honored in a moving funeral service at Asan Medical Center in Seoul. Colleagues, students and family attended as fellow actors delivered tributes recalling his kindness, discipline and dedication to craft. Speakers remembered his habit of arriving early to study scripts and his honest mentorship—telling a junior, “Acting is still difficult for me”—which comforted many. A photo and memorial tablet were displayed, and 91 white chrysanthemums were placed on his coffin before the procession departed for Eden Park (Eden Nakwon) cemetery in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. The ceremony reflected his long career across theater, film and television and the deep respect he inspired among peers.
