Actor Lee Jang-woo (39) chose a business trip to Busan over an immediate honeymoon to promote buchang bakery's walnut pastries (hodu-gwaja). He will visit Buchang Bakery’s fourth store in Shinsaegae Centum City on the 29th to meet customers and hand out special gifts. Lee first drew attention at his private wedding on Nov 23 when he presented a ‘walnut pastry bouquet’ to his bride Jo Hye-won (31), sparking viral photos, short videos and parodies online. Wedding favors featured the couple’s illustrated walnut pastry sets, prompting heavy consumer inquiries and requests to recreate the pastry bouquet. The pastry, relaunched last year by Lee and FG CEO Lee Kyung-won, sold over 100 million units within six months and was recently chosen as a dessert for APEC meetings. The couple plans to take their honeymoon in early next year while continuing individual schedules.
