World-renowned pastry chef Pierre Hermé, nicknamed the 'Picasso of desserts' and 'king of macarons,' will launch his signature sweets at Park Hyatt Seoul and Andaz Seoul Gangnam after Hotel HDC secured exclusive rights in September. Sales will begin at the hotels' outlets—Cornerstone at Park Hyatt Seoul and Bites & Wine in Jogakbo at Andaz—followed by a pop-up at The Hyundai Seoul from next month on the 16th; Park Hyatt Busan will get the line next. The hotel collection includes macarons, pound cakes (such as Ispahan cake, Mogador cake, Infinîment praliné hazelnut, Infinîment citron), chocolate bars (caramel white chocolate, roasted hazelnut, mendiant milk chocolate with dried fruits and nuts) and snacks. Hotels will offer tea-pairing programs and seasonal gift sets for enhanced tasting experiences. Hotel HDC says the launch aims to present Pierre Hermé's Parisian sensibility and heritage in Korea.
