Seocho District reported that the Seoripul Music Festival, held Sept. 27–28 along a 900m stretch of Banpo-daero, produced about ₩21.1 billion (≈ $15–16 million) in economic ripple effects. The event attracted 250,000 visitors, featured 173 acts including classical, jazz and K-pop performers such as Jo Sumi and Melomance, and put 1,686 people on stage (including local youth and arts groups). Local businesses benefited: 55 restaurants, 50 teams in a local art market (로컬 아트마켓), and nine food trucks participated. For the first time the festival introduced an “AI human guide”—a QR-code based service providing venue maps, movement routes and real-time program info—which recorded 136,519 accesses over two days. Seocho plans to expand technology-based services next year to build on this year’s data and success.
