A small-group (8 people) sailing tour to Dokdo and Ulleungdo launches for next summer, operated by diving-specialist Whale’s Tour. Departing from Yeongnam Port in Pohang, participants spend about 24 hours at sea on a yacht where they can help operate the vessel, fish, watch sunrise/sunset, spot dolphins/whales and observe bioluminescent plankton at night. On day two the group visits Dokdo with special permits to access normally restricted areas (including the observation deck) and enjoys around three hours of snorkeling and free-diving at prime local spots. A professional underwater photographer will provide over 100 high-resolution underwater photos, and the tour includes a Taegukgi (Korean national flag) performance at sea. Day three explores Ulleungdo’s marine sites—columnar joints under “Elephant Rock” and large sea caves at Gwan-eumdo—plus visits to Ulleungdo Museum, Teaha monorail and other island highlights. Departures are planned for July 24 and August 14 next year; landing may be weather-dependent. Booking via the AttTrip platform includes Dokdo-themed goods (Taegukgi, Dokdo T-shirt).
