Yanggu Park Su-geun Museum Marks 20 Years of Artist Residency with Donation Exhibition

The Yanggu County Park Su-geun Museum is presenting a donation exhibition titled "In Such a Stubborn World" through January 18, celebrating 20 years of its creative studio residency program. Since 2006 the studio has hosted four resident artists each year (currently the 20th cohort), providing workspace, a year-end result exhibition, and receiving one donated work from each artist. The show brings together 34 donated works and archival materials that trace the studio's history, the resident artists' practices, and their contributions. The program was founded to continue the creative spirit of local artist Park Su-geun (박수근) and to support contemporary artists who lack stable studio environments by offering space, exhibitions, and pathways for artistic growth. The exhibition is held in the museum's contemporary art wing and aims to offer visitors a vibrant view of contemporary Korean artistic voices.
