Park Cheon-hyu, the 42-year-old writer of the musical 'Maybe a Happy Ending,' received an honorary diploma from his alma mater, Dongguk University, at a ceremony in Seoul on the 25th. Park originally enrolled in Dongguk’s Creative Writing program in 2005 but left after one year to study at New York University; he returned to accept the degree 20 years later. A celebrated creator whose work won six Tony Awards on Broadway, Park spoke warmly about dreams during a special lecture and Q&A, telling students that dreaming is not a luxury even in uncertain times. He encouraged them to keep improving their lives and to pursue their dreams step by step, noting that living abroad made him appreciate the value of cultivating a beautiful life.
