Daegu’s Jung-gu district will host the Daegu Yakryeongsi Herbal Dessert Festa on the 26–27 from 11 AM to 3 PM in front of the old central police station. Yakryeongsi is a traditional herbal medicine market that has operated since 1658. The festival brings together nine local cafes and bakeries to showcase herbal-inspired desserts and drinks that blend traditional Korean herbs (Hanbang) with modern pastry techniques. Visitors can enjoy tastings, a herbal quiz, and receipt-based prize draws. Highlighted items include ginseng jelly, lotus-seed glutinous rice cake, goji-berry cream fruit sando, five-spice café Vienna, omisanghwa tea (traditional five-flavor medicinal tea), moju champagnyeu (makgeolli-based warm spiced rice wine), brain-boosting walnut treats, yakryeong focaccia (Italian flatbread), and herbal yakgwa tart. The event aims to promote local herbal resources as unique regional food content and invite public interest in Korea’s hanbang culinary creativity.
