Hansae Co., Ltd Joins Global Carbon Neutral Initiative 'SBTi'

Hansae Co., Ltd, a South Korean apparel company, announced it has joined the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to strengthen its environmentally-friendly management practices. SBTi, established by major environmental organizations including the Carbon Disclosure Project and World Wildlife Fund, provides guidelines for companies to set greenhouse gas reduction goals based on scientific evidence. Hansae aims to achieve short-term greenhouse gas reduction targets following SBTi's procedures, as part of its broader goal to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. The company is implementing solar panels, purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (REC), and utilizing biofuels in its overseas facilities to achieve these aims, and has already significantly reduced carbon emissions from 2022 to 2023.
