South Korea is launching its first Accommodation Sale Festival of the year to boost local tourism and domestic consumption. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the Korea Tourism Organization, will distribute 300,000 accommodation discount coupons from March 28. These coupons can be used at domestic accommodations excluding the Seoul metropolitan area. Available online, the coupons offer discounts of 20,000 to 30,000 KRW on stays priced from 20,000 to over 70,000 KRW. The initiative aims to attract domestic travelers and is part of the "March travel month" efforts.
