The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in South Korea plans to unify the administrative operations of five national art organizations: the National Opera, Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Ballet, and Contemporary Dance companies. This move aims to enhance their artistic capabilities while providing efficient administrative support. Through this merge, these organizations will receive specialized support for budget, accounting, contracts, and promotions. Despite the potential for greater collaboration and international outreach, there are concerns about the loss of individual autonomy for these groups.
