Hy Launches 'MPro Skin' with Korea's First Skin-Probiotic HY7714

Hy introduced 'MPro Skin,' a product centered on HY7714 (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum HY7714), Korea's first skin-focused probiotic isolated from the breast milk of healthy Korean mothers. Of over 5,100 strains held by Hy, HY7714 showed the strongest ability to promote collagen precursor production. Preclinical studies found HY7714 suppresses UVB-induced matrix metalloproteinase activity (an enzyme that breaks down collagen), helping protect skin from sun damage. A 12-week human trial reported improvements in skin hydration, elasticity, and wrinkles. HY7714 also received U.S. FDA NDI approval in December 2021, and the product follows a low-spec (로우스펙) trend by reducing sugar content by 80%.
