From Earth to Earth: 'Soil_Yeotal' Exhibition Explores Cycles of Existence

Artist Lee Su‑hyun’s solo show 'Soil_Yeotal' runs from the 21st through next month’s 2nd at Chuncheon Art Space Sairo. Sponsored by the Chuncheon Cultural Foundation, the exhibition examines the cycle of beings born from soil and returning to it, using visual and tactile works. Installations inspired by the earth’s crust combine mapping structures with mountain‑like forms modeled from soil and salt, while ceramic pieces explore sculptural qualities derived from clay. A video work traces the artist’s creative process and the abstract sense of cyclical time, inviting visitors to engage from the story’s beginning. Lee says the show reinterprets journeys of existence from the land in visual and tactile terms, encouraging reflection on life and death, creation and decay.
